On Sunday, July 21st, 2024, I got up around 11:30 a.m. PST and left my house in the evening to head to Richmond.<\/span><\/p>\n

I went to the Richmond Olympic Oval, an indoor sports facility located along the Fraser River. One surprising thing for me was that some people were playing ice hockey despite it being summer. There were also players playing basketball.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Another impressive feature was the vast space without pillars, which can be useful for hosting large events. According to a sign at the Oval, twelve events were organized there during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wood seemed to be used as the material for the ceiling, including long beams, and this interior looked similar to the Nagano Olympic Memorial Arena, also called M-Wave, which is one of my favorite buildings in Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
