On Sunday, August 25th, 2024, I got up at 1:30 p.m. PST and left my house at 4:00 p.m. to head to Vancouver International Airport.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The reason I visited the airport was not to take an airplane, but to take pictures of them. I thought that watching planes would help me settle down.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After riding a shuttle bus, I arrived at the south terminal, which offers a viewpoint. I imagined that the viewpoint would be located on the roof of a building, allowing me to look down at the aircraft, but reality did not meet my expectations. It was more like a small platform on the ground.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I watched planes taking off, such as those operated by Air Canada or WestJet. It was easy to take pictures because there was nothing to obstruct my view of the planes. In the background of the airport, there were buildings in Vancouver and mountains.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The building of the south terminal was tiny compared to the main terminal. The atmosphere was also different between them; the south one was a woody space. If Yakushima Airport in Japan were updated, this terminal building would be a good example in terms of size, layout, and interior.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
