I had to run a plagiarism check before submitting the report. Plagiarism checks are provided by some websites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The website indicated a score for plagiarism. I don&#8217;t understand what the score means, but in this case, it was necessary to get a score of more than 95%. The initial score I received was less than 95%. After making several adjustments and attempts, I figured out the issue, but it was a difficult challenge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Honestly, I\u2019m suspicious of the meaning of plagiarism checks for several reasons. First of all, plagiarism checkers can detect if authors steal information from websites but probably can\u2019t recognize if they steal it from books. Secondly, a plagiarism checker pointed out problems even though I properly cited references and quotes. In my opinion, using references and quotations is different from stealing ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To improve the score on the checker, I had to use paraphrases, but paraphrasing is more related to language skills than to plagiarism, in my opinion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even if I complain about the process a lot, educational culture is unlikely to change.
