My host mother told me that this holiday was established relatively recently. If there were still no holiday in February, there would be a long gap between New Year\u2019s and the next holiday, Good Friday, in April.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My host mother suggested that I go to a museum in Vancouver since admission was free today. She always keeps up with events in Metro Vancouver and recommended that I visit one\u2014but in the end, I didn\u2019t go.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By the way, an international ice hockey competition called the 4 Nations Face-Off is currently being held. I hadn\u2019t heard of this tournament before, but I find it interesting for a few reasons. I wonder why it is being held during the professional league season.
