On Monday, June 2nd, 2025, I got up at 10:00 a.m. and left home in the evening to walk around Azumino, Nagano.<\/span><\/p>\n

The route I walked today was part of the Chubu Hokuriku Nature Trail, a roughly 4,000-kilometer-long route planned by the Japanese government. It spans eight prefectures, including Nagano. In total, the Japanese government and local prefectures maintain ten long-distance trails across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The section I walked had two contrasting features: a shaded path through a forest with tall trees, and an open path stretching between fields of farmland. The latter offered views of the surrounding mountains, including Mt. Ariake.<\/span><\/p>\n

Several creeks branch off from the Nakabusa River, and one of them runs alongside the trail. Near that creek, I saw a Japanese clethra that seemed close to blooming.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
