On Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, I got up around 7:00 a.m. PDT and went shopping in the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

To make soup with udon noodles in the morning, I tried adding a scoop of minced ginger because I expected it to help relieve my cough. The minced ginger was a product I had bought yesterday at an Asian supermarket.<\/span><\/p>\n

In my opinion, it tasted different from the ginger I\u2019m familiar with in Japan. It\u2019s hard to describe exactly how they\u2019re different. Although I looked for ginger produced by a Japanese company at the supermarket, I couldn\u2019t find any, while there were products like wasabi made by Japanese companies at the same store.<\/span><\/p>\n
