On Tuesday, July 16th, 2025, I got up at 10:00 a.m. PDT and left home in the afternoon to visit Stanley Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

While walking through part of the huge park in Vancouver, I saw a couple of different types of flowers.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One of them might have been from a chestnut tree. Numerous golden-yellow flower spikes were hanging down from the tall tree, and green burrs had already formed. For reference, the chestnut trees I saw in Japan this year bloomed around late May.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Another flower I saw today looked refreshing and closely resembled the Japanese Stewartia. Not only the appearance of the flowers but also the texture of the bark made me believe that the tree was indeed a Japanese Stewartia.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
