I had a cold matcha drink, which might have been a matcha latte. It was tasty\u2014not too sweet, not too bitter. While I\u2019m not a big fan of matcha, it\u2019s said to be gaining popularity worldwide, including in Vancouver.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During our conversation, we talked about yoga and Pilates. Even though my friend pronounced &#8220;Pilates&#8221; correctly, I couldn\u2019t recognize the word at first because I didn\u2019t know how it was supposed to sound. I thought he had said \u201cpalates\u201d instead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of pronunciation difficulties, \u201cvolunteer\u201d is another word that confuses me.
