On Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, I got up around 11:00 a.m. PDT and went out in the afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

The park I visited was Shaughnessy Park, a small park near South Granville, a shopping district in Vancouver. Since the park was introduced in a field guide featuring Vancouver\u2019s trees, I was curious about it.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It was a calm, uncrowded park filled with various trees, such as maples, lindens, and a European beech.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The type of tree that attracted me most was sourwood. It had tiny bell-shaped flowers, and the ground beneath it was covered with countless fallen blossoms. Seen from a distance, the long clusters of flowers looked as if they were blowing in the wind.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
