One was a shared house with one bathroom for four people in total, located in a convenient area about a five-minute walk from the station. The rent was CAD 800. The other was a shared house with two bathrooms for five to seven people, located about a 15-minute walk from the station. The rent was CAD 650.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Based on this information alone, these houses\u2014especially the first one\u2014seemed suitable for me, as I wanted a place near a station with affordable rent. However, my opinion changed when I saw how dirty the shared spaces, such as the kitchen and bathroom, were. I hadn\u2019t cared much about messiness before, but today\u2019s viewings made me realize it\u2019s an important factor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After returning to my current home, I decided to look at more houses and quickly booked an appointment to view one that evening. The place was nearly brand new, so all the rooms were still clean. Considering that the rent was affordable, I decided to apply and was approved.
