On Thursday, August 21st, 2025, I got up at 12:30 p.m. PDT and went to a small music festival in front of Metrotown Station with my host mother and one of her friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before the festival, I walked between Metrotown Station and the next stop, Patterson Station. Along the railway, several trees are planted.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One of them caught my attention because it was a conifer that looked similar to the Pacific silver fir I saw yesterday at Queen Elizabeth Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tree I observed today had cones hanging down, which suggests that it isn\u2019t a fir, since fir cones stand upright. Based on the leaves and cones I saw, it might be a spruce, though I\u2019m not sure about the detailed classification among spruces.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
