On Saturday, September 20th, 2025, I got up around 2:30 p.m. PDT and joined Japanese archery practice in the afternoon, as I usually do on Saturdays.<\/span><\/p>\n

During a conversation with a member of the Japanese archery club, I realized a habit of mine in English speaking: I spontaneously say \u201coh no\u201d when I\u2019m surprised. From what I understand, those words are generally used in negative contexts, but I use them even when I don\u2019t actually feel negative.<\/span><\/p>\n

Response expressions are difficult for me to master. Since I tend to rely on only a few types of words, I hope to get used to using a wider variety of expressions in conversation, like native speakers do.<\/span><\/p>\n
