Although I usually attend a beginners\u2019 curling lesson every Thursday, I didn\u2019t go today because the session was cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Around noon, I went to the ice rink at the Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre to improve my ice skating skills. Just like last time, when I visited the centre on Tuesday, the fee for the 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. session was only two Canadian dollars.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What I wanted to practice was basic movements, such as making smooth circles by widening and narrowing my legs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I also tried to learn how to stop by turning one foot perpendicular to the direction of travel. While I couldn\u2019t do it with my left foot, I somehow managed it with my right. Since there are several ways to stop on the ice, I\u2019d like to master as many of them as I can someday.
