On Wednesday, November 14th, 2025, I got up around 8:00 a.m. and visited a baseball stadium in the heart of Tokyo to watch a traditional national baseball tournament for high schools and colleges.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What I enjoyed watching today at the stadium were two games. One of them was between Yamanashi Gakuin Senior High School and Teikyo Senior High School. Although the former team made a comeback and won 6\u20133, the powerful swings of some Teikyo batters were very impressive.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The other game I watched was the matchup between Ritsumeikan University and Tokyo University of Agriculture Hokkaido-Okhotsk Campus, in which the former team defeated the latter 4\u20130. Compared to high school players, the college players I saw today were on an entirely different level.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The most outstanding player for me\u2014and for many other spectators\u2014was Gaku Arima, a left-handed pitcher for Ritsumeikan who is expected to become a professional player in the future. He dominated on the mound, striking out ten consecutive batters, which set an all-time record for the tournament. The opposing batters clearly struggled even to make contact, and as the strikeouts piled up, the spectators grew increasingly excited.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
