On Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, I got up around 2:00 p.m. PST and walked around Gastown in Vancouver in the afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What I focused on during my stroll was the ginkgo, a tree species known for its golden foliage. Although I haven\u2019t seen it many times in Vancouver, I knew there were some in the neighborhood.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Among the few ginkgo trees I found today, the one near the Gastown Steam Clock\u2014one of the most popular tourist spots in Vancouver\u2014still had leaves on its branches. On the other hand, most of the others I saw had already lost many of their leaves.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Just a week ago, when I looked at ginkgo trees in Yokohama, Japan, they were still full of green or yellow leaves. Based on that, I guess they are still beautiful there now, which is later than the season in Vancouver.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
