Like on regular Tuesdays, I went ice skating around noon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While enjoying ice skating, I sometimes tried a movement called a backward crossover. It is one of the common techniques for skating backward. When I see skaters doing it, I consider them experienced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After attempting it over and over, I gradually became somewhat comfortable with the movement. It was exciting because I felt strong momentum when going backward.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When practicing this skill, I had to be careful not to bump into other people. Skating backward makes it harder to see and avoid others. The movement causes me to glide in a circle rather than straight back, which increases the risk of collisions.
