現地時間2024年11月21日（木）、午前6時半ごろに起きた。朝、家を出て、専門学校へ向かった。
昨日・一昨日と同様、Power BIの使い方を学んだ。習ったのは、計算に使う機能「メジャー」。Excelの機能に似ているものの、私としては使いこなすのがより難しく感じる。
昨日に続いて、学校の就職担当のアドバイザーと面談した。最近応募した企業から面接の案内が届き、明日、面接することに決まったからだ。面接についてアドバイザーと話し合った。
面接のチャンスを得たことについて、アドバイザーはとても喜んでくれた。だが残念ながら、その人が今までにくれた助言は、役に立たない可能性が高い。私が今回応募したのは、カナダに事務所を持つ日本企業であり、恐らくカナダの企業とは違う方式の面接になるからだ。
On Thursday, November 21st, 2024, I woke up around 6:30 a.m. PST and left for college in the morning.
As in the previous two days, I learned how to use Power BI, a data visualization tool. The teacher explained a calculation feature called Measures. While it is similar to Excel’s features, I found it more challenging to utilize.
Following yesterday’s session, I met with a college advisor because a job interview for my recent application was scheduled for tomorrow.
The advisor was pleased to hear about my interview opportunity. However, the tips provided might not be helpful since I applied to a Japanese company that has an office here, which tends to operate in a different way from Canadian companies.
