2025年4月27日（日）、午前11時ごろに起きた。正午ごろ父と一緒に外出し、某人気ラーメン店に行った。10年ほど前に感じた印象とは違って、ラーメンが少し塩辛く感じた。たぶん、私の味覚が変化したせいだろう。
お腹を満たした後、1人で等々力緑地を訪れた。晴れた日曜の昼下がり、川崎市が誇るこの公園は多くの人で賑わっていた。サッカー、テニス、バスケットボールなど、スポーツを楽しむ人が目立った。
等々力緑地には、川崎フロンターレのホームスタジアムがある。私はこれまでに何度か訪れたことはあったが、選手の銅像が立っていることは知らなった。銅像は、競技場のあるゲートの屋根に立っている。選手の顔ではなく背番号が正面を向いている、ちょっと変わったデザインだ。
私は像を見つけたとき、中村憲剛選手を表した銅像ではないかと予想した。そのポーズからそう感じた。実際、私の予想は当たっていた。スポーツ報知の記事によると、この像はクラウドファンディングによって昨年完成したそうだ。
On Sunday, April 27th, 2025, I got up around 11:00 a.m. and left home around noon with my father to have lunch at a locally popular ramen restaurant. Unlike what I had felt about 10 years ago, I found the ramen there slightly too salty, perhaps because my sense of taste has gradually changed.
After lunch, I visited Todoroki Ryokuchi Park by myself, one of the major parks in Kawasaki. Since it was sunny and a Sunday, many people were there playing sports such as soccer, tennis, and basketball.
The park features a large stadium that serves as the home ground for Kawasaki Frontale, a competitive professional soccer team beloved by locals. Although I had visited the stadium several times before, this was the first time I noticed a statue of a player standing atop the stadium gate. What makes the sculpture unique is that it faces forward not with the player’s face, but with his jersey number on his back.
When I spotted the statue, I guessed that it represented Kengo Nakamura, a legendary player for the franchise. His posture gave me that impression, and it turned out I was correct. According to an article by Sports Hochi, the statue was completed last year through crowdfunding.
