2025年5月29日（木）、午前8時に起きた。午前11時ごろ、父と一緒に家を出た。長野県にある別荘へ向かうためだ。
長野に向かう途中、山梨県の笛吹市で寄り道をした。笛吹市内にある、温泉で有名な地区「石和」を歩いた。
石和温泉駅の周辺を見て回ったところ、飲食店やホテルが街なかに点在している印象を受けた。温泉街と言えばこうした施設が密集しているイメージをもつが、それとは様子が違った。
石和温泉の歴史はさほど長くないそうだ。石和温泉旅館協同組合のウェブサイトによると、1961年に葡萄園で温泉が湧き出たことが、温泉観光地としての始まりだという。この地区は今でも葡萄関連の産業が盛んなようで、今日の散歩中、葡萄畑やワイナリーを見かけた。
On Thursday, May 29th, 2025, I got up at 8:00 a.m. and left home around 11:00 a.m. with my father to go to my family’s second house in Nagano Prefecture.
On the way to the house, we stopped by Fuefuki City in Yamanashi Prefecture for lunch and took a walk around the town. The town is called Isawa, which is famous for its hot springs.
From what I saw around Isawa Onsen Station, stores, restaurants, and hotels were spread out across the town, unlike traditional hot spring resorts where such facilities are usually concentrated in a small central area.
The history of Isawa as a hot spring resort is relatively short. It is said to have begun in 1961, when hot spring water was discovered in a grape field. Today, I saw a grape field and a winery in the town, which showed how important the grape-related industry is there.
