2025年6月3日（火）、午前10時半に起きた。夕方、安曇野市内の弓道場で練習をした。
弓道の練習前、市内にある穂高神社を訪れた。
この神社の一角には弓道場がある。趣のある弓道場だ。今日も含めて、私自身はここで練習をしたことはない。たとえ機会があったとしても、参拝者の前で射を見せるのはためらってしまうだろう。
見事なケヤキが境内に立っている。針葉樹が多く立つなかで、ケヤキの爽やかな葉っぱと立派な枝ぶりはよく映える。自分の見た限りでは、この地域の神社には針葉樹が多く、東京や横浜の神社とは異なる傾向だと思う。
On Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, I got up at 10:30 a.m. and practiced Japanese archery in the evening at a dojo in Azumino.
Before shooting arrows, I visited a shrine in the city called Hotaka Jinja, in the rain.
It has a Japanese archery dojo, though I’ve never actually practiced there. I couldn’t go inside, but its exterior gave me the impression of tradition and history. Even if I had the chance to practice there, I would hesitate to shoot in front of shrine visitors.
In one part of the shrine grounds, a magnificent Japanese zelkova stands. The tree stands out, probably because it is surrounded by conifers with very different leaf shapes, colors, and branch structures compared to the zelkova. From what I observed, most of the trees at shrines in this region are conifers, which is quite different from shrines in Tokyo or Yokohama, at least in my view.
