On Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, I got up at 7:00 a.m. and left my home in Azumino, Nagano, to return to my other home in Yokohama, Kanagawa.
While my father was driving me from Azumino, we visited the Kiyosato area in Yamanashi Prefecture because he had visited it a long time ago and wanted to see it again.
Near the Kiyosato area, we unexpectedly came across the Yatsugatake Kogen Ohashi Bridge, located about 3 km south of Kiyosato Station. This 490-meter-long yellow bridge stretches across a valley and offers breathtaking scenery.
Looking north from the bridge, I could see the Yatsugatake Mountains and a vast forested valley dotted with white flowers, which might have been giant dogwood blossoms or something similar. The scale of the forest was comparable to the one visible from a bridge on Yakushima Island, though the tree species likely differ between the two.
Looking south from the Yatsugatake Kogen Ohashi Bridge, I saw Mt. Fuji, partially covered in snow, waiting in the distance. At that moment, a long, horizontal cloud stretched across the middle of the mountain, and the combination of the mountain, the snow, and the cloud was as beautiful as a painting.
