現地時間2025年8月29日（金）、午前4時半に起きた。1日中、家の中で過ごした。
もともとは、公園のボランティア活動に参加する予定だった。だが腹痛があったので休んだ。
家で休んでいる間、野球漫画「H2」を読んだ。私はこの作品をすでに何度も読んでいるが、最近改めて、漫画配信サイトで読み直している。
この配信サイトでは基本的に、1日に1話しか無料で読めない。だが現在、期間限定で全話読み放題のキャンペーンを実施しており、私はそのおかげで今日最終話まで読み終えた。
一番好きな漫画だと改めて感じた。あくまで個人的な意見だが、日本人ならではの美意識がH2には凝縮されていると思う。英語版が出ているかは分からないが、日本に関心がある外国人におすすめしたい作品だ。
On Friday, August 29th, 2025, I got up at 4:30 a.m. PDT and stayed inside all day.
Although I had registered to join today’s volunteer session at a park, I didn’t go because of a stomachache. The symptom wasn’t that severe, but I decided to cancel just in case, considering the hot outdoor environment there.
I spent most of the day resting at home and reading a Japanese baseball manga called H2. Even though I’ve already read the entire series more than five times, I started rereading it on a digital platform that offers many manga titles.
Normally, the platform only lets you read one chapter a day for free, but recently they launched a limited-time campaign that allows unlimited access to all chapters. Thanks to that, I was able to finish the final chapter today right away.
I realized once again that it’s my all-time favorite manga, as it condenses the unique sense of beauty that Japanese people have. I’m not sure if it’s available in English, but I would recommend it to anyone interested in Japan.
