現地時間2025年8月30日（土）、午前9時半に起きた。夕方、弓道の練習をした。練習後は、友人たちと一緒に韓国式中華料理のレストランを訪れた。ジャージャー麺を食べた。
練習前は、ダウンタウンにあるエメリー・バーンズ・パークで散歩した。高層住宅に囲まれたこの小さな公園では、多くの人がくつろいでいた。
公園の入口すぐ近くには、藤棚が設えてある。個人的に驚いたのは、藤の花がこの時期に咲いていたこと。日本では開花時期はとっくに終わっている。
この公園にはエゴノキも植わっている。白い実が無数に垂れ下がり、生い茂る葉っぱは来園者に木陰を提供していた。
On Saturday, August 30th, 2025, I got up at 9:30 a.m. PDT and practiced Japanese archery in the evening. After shooting arrows in a gym, I went to a Korean Chinese restaurant with some members of the Japanese archery club and ate black bean noodles, also known as jjajangmyeon.
Before practice, I visited a small park surrounded by high-rise residential buildings. The park is called Emery Barnes Park, and quite a few people were relaxing there.
What impressed me most in the park was the wisteria trellis that I saw as soon as I entered. Some visitors were sitting in the shade of the trellis, and wisteria flowers were blooming. That was surprising because the blooming season of wisteria in Japan had already ended before summer.
Japanese snowbells in the park also provided shade, which made visitors feel comfortable. A ton of white fruits were hanging down from the trees.
