On Saturday, September 6th, 2025, I got up at noon PDT and cleaned parts of my house, such as the washing machine and the entrance. Unlike the previous houses where I lived with host mothers in Vancouver, I now have to take care of cleaning the new house by myself.
In the evening, I joined a Japanese archery practice as usual. A university student from Japan came for his first time shooting arrows in Vancouver.
Since he had trained well in this martial art, he shot arrows skillfully during today’s practice. In addition, he can speak and understand English.
After practice, I invited him to Marugame Udon, a restaurant in downtown Vancouver. It was his first time visiting my favorite restaurant in the city. Afterwards, I took him to T&T Supermarket near the restaurant. Just as many members of the Japanese archery club here helped me a lot in my first year living in Vancouver, I’d like to help him adjust to his new life here—as long as he doesn’t find me meddlesome.
