現地時間2025年9月5日（金）、午前7時半に起きた。午前中、公園でのボランティア活動に参加した。
休憩中、ボランティアチームの一部の人たちがアメリカンフットボールについて話していた。カナディアンフットボールというアメフトに似た競技がカナダにはあるけれども、アメフトの方がバンクーバーでは人気があるそうだ。個人的には興味深い話だった。
私は家に帰ったあと、ごみ捨ての作業をした。今月から住み始めた新居では、一般ごみや生ごみ、ペットボトルなど、分別をしっかりやっている。分別したごみを定期的に収集所まで運ぶ必要があり、今週は私がその当番だった。
ごみの出し方がまだよく分かっていないので、ルームメイトが手伝ってくれた。お礼として、私のオレンジジュースを彼に分けてあげた。
On Friday, September 5th, 2025, I got up at 7:30 a.m. PDT and joined a volunteer activity in a park in the morning.
During a break, two team members talked about American football. One of them told me that this sport is more popular here than Canadian football. Although the relationship between Canada and the United States has been strained this year, I believe Canada is still influenced by the culture of its neighbor.
After returning home, I took care of a garbage-related task. My housemates and I separate our trash into different bins by type, such as organic waste, plastic bottles, and other items. This week, I’m in charge of taking our garbage to the designated collection spot.
Since I’m still not familiar with the garbage system, my housemate helped me with it. To show my appreciation, I gave him my orange juice.
