この木の英名は、恐らくYellowwood(イエローウッド)だろう。
On Sunday, September 28th, 2025, I got up around 2:00 p.m. PDT, went out in the evening, and took a walk in Shaughnessy Park.
What I was hoping to see in the park was the foliage of sourwoods, one of my favorite trees I’ve seen in Vancouver. However, their leaves were still green rather than red. I should come back again later this fall to watch how their colors change.
A huge tree near the edge of the park stood out because some of its large leaves had turned yellow.
It was likely a yellowwood — such an easy name to remember!
