現地時間2025年12月11日（木）、13時ごろに起きた。トラウト湖の周りを散歩した。
針葉樹を除くほとんどの木々が、葉を落とした。地面はぬかるんでいた。私にとっては見るものがなく、あまり面白い散歩ではなかった。
唯一心に残ったのは、地面にできた水たまり。ここ最近雨が続いており、小道の真ん中や、木の根元に大きな水たまりができていた。
そこには、群れる鴨の姿があった。すぐそばには、トラウト湖という、水たまりよりもはるかに大きな水場があるにもかかわらずだ。鴨たちにとって、水たまりは格好の餌場だったのかもしれない。
On Thursday, December 11th, 2025, I got up at 1:00 p.m. PST and went out for a walk in the park around Trout Lake.
Almost all the trees in the park had lost their leaves except for the conifers, so walking there felt rather boring. The muddy ground made my shoes dirty, which was also depressing.
The only thing that impressed me was the puddles on the ground. Since it has been rainy recently, large puddles had formed in the middle of the paths and around the bases of trees.
Ducks gathered at these temporary pools, even though there is the park has Trout Lake. Perhaps the puddles were places where the ducks could find food.
