現地時間2025年12月18日（木）、午前9時ごろに起きた。昼、アイススケートをした。
自宅では、カーリングの国際大会の試合を観た。グランドスラムシリーズの1つ「ヒアリングライフ・カナディアン・オープン」が、カナダのサスカトゥーンで開催中だ。
私が観た試合は、日本のチーム・北澤と韓国のチーム・ハの対戦だ。昨日も私はチーム・北澤の試合を観た。対戦相手は、カナダ代表として五輪出場予定のチーム・ホーマンだった。残念ながらチーム・北澤はいずれの試合でも負けてしまった。
今秋に私自身がカーリングをプレーし始めたことで、ルールや戦術への理解を深めることができた。それに伴い、試合を観るのがより楽しくなった。
On Thursday, December 18th, 2025, I got up around 9:00 a.m. PST and went ice skating around noon.
At home, I watched a curling game from an international tournament series, the Grand Slam of Curling, on a sports channel I subscribe to. The Grand Slam of Curling is a series of events in which top-level curlers from around the world compete, and the HearingLife Canadian Open is one of those events, currently being held in Saskatoon, Canada.
The game I watched today was between Team Kitazawa from Japan and Team Ha from South Korea. Yesterday, I also watched a match involving Team Kitazawa, which was against Team Homan from Canada, who are set to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games. Unfortunately, the Japanese team did not win either game.
Since I have been playing this sport since this fall and understand the fundamental rules and strategies, I find it more interesting to watch than before. For instance, by paying attention to the commands each team gives using a broom, I can tell where they intend to place a rock, which helps me feel more deeply engaged in the games.
