現地時間2025年12月23日（火）、13時ごろに起きた。夕方、ノースバンクーバーの屋外アイスリンクでスケートをした。このリンクは先週も訪れた場所だ。
若者のグループや家族連れなどで、リンクは混みあっていた。このスケート場はやや変則的なつくりをしており、一部に狭い区間がある。その場所ではいつも渋滞が発生していた。
このスケート場は、クリスマスマーケットの一角に位置している。マーケットは前回訪れたときよりも活気にあふれていた。これぞクリスマスシーズン、という雰囲気だった。
来訪客が増えたことが、交通機関にも影響していたようだ。ノースバンクーバーとバンクーバーを結ぶフェリーが、いつも以上に混雑していた。船内の座席が埋まってしまい、立っている乗客がいたほどだ。
On Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025, I got up around 1:00 p.m. PST and went out in the evening to go ice skating at a public rink in North Vancouver, which I had also visited the previous week.
The rink was full of people, including groups of young friends and families. There was a narrow section in part of the rink, and congestion always occurred there.
The public ice skating area is partly located within the venue of a nearby Christmas market. The market was more vibrant than the last time I visited it, and I felt that I was right in the middle of the Christmas holiday season.
As more visitors came to the market, the SeaBus—a ferry connecting downtown Vancouver and North Vancouver—was also crowded today. It was surprising to see passengers forced to stand inside the boat due to the crowding.
