現地時間2024年12月5日（木）、午前7時半ごろに起床した。朝、家を出て専門学校へ向かった。
学校では今週から、Pythonを習っている。Pythonは、人気のあるプログラミング言語の1つだ。様々な用途があるなか、授業ではデータ分析に関する内容のみを扱っている。
これまで学んだSQLやExcelなどと比べて、Pythonは使いこなすのが難しい。少なくとも私はそう感じている。さらに問題なのが、授業のスタイルだ。先生がコードを書いて、生徒はそれをコピーするだけ。生徒自らコードを考える時間はほとんどなく、知識をただ聞いている状況に過ぎない。
復習を自らやらなければ、Pythonの習得はできないだろう。実際、Power BIを教わっていた時期、私は復習を疎かにしており、そのせいで課題に取り組む際はChatGPTに頼らざるを得ない場面があった。
On Thursday, December 5th, 2024, I got up around 7:30 a.m. PST and left for college in the morning.
This week, I started learning Python, one of the most popular programming languages, at college. While it has various applications, the teacher focused only on its use for data analysis.
Compared to other tools we’ve learned in class, such as SQL and Excel, I found Python more challenging to master. Students merely observed and copied the teacher’s code on their computers. This wasn’t conducive to learning the tool effectively, as we had insufficient time to think independently.
It’s crucial to review what we’ve learned, otherwise we’ll quickly forget how to use this tool. In fact, because I didn’t thoroughly review Power BI’s features, I struggled to complete homework independently and had to seek advice from ChatGPT.
