今日もテレビでアイスホッケーの試合を観た。ミネソタ・ワイルドとバンクーバー・カナックスの一戦だ。カナックスが3-1で勝利を収めた。
決勝点となった、カナックスの2点目は見事だった。Filip Hronek選手がゴール付近に向かって斜めのパスを送り、そこにKiefer Sherwood選手が待ち構えていた。Sherwood選手はサッカーのように足でパックを止め、素早くシュートを叩き込んだ。
ミネソタ・ワイルドは敗れたものの、カナックスよりも試合を支配していた。カナックスのシュート数が20本だったのに対し、ワイルドの数は38本。ワイルドの圧力を受けたカナックスは、パスをつなぐ余裕があまりなかった。
今日はNHLのトレード期限日だ。いくつかの強豪チームが選手を獲得した。プレーオフの少し前に期限が設定されている点は、MLBのトレード期限と似ている。
On Friday, March 7th, 2025, I got up at 10:30 a.m. PST and went shopping in the afternoon.
The ice hockey game I watched on TV today was between the Minnesota Wild and the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks managed to win 3-1. Their second goal, the game-winning goal, was stunning. Filip Hronek sent a diagonal pass to Kiefer Sherwood, who was positioned near the net. Sherwood controlled the puck with his foot, like a soccer player, and took a quick shot.
Although the Wild were defeated, they were more dominant than the Canucks. While the Canucks had 20 shots on goal, the Wild had 38. Since the Wild played aggressively, the Canucks couldn’t afford to move the puck with passes, even during regular play, not just when the opposing team was on a power play.
Today was the NHL trade deadline for this season. It seems similar to MLB’s trade deadline in that it takes place one or two months before the playoffs. Some competitive teams acquired players today.
