現地時間2025年3月9日（日）、朝寝て、15時ごろに起きた。今日から夏時間が始まった。時計の切り替わりが人体に影響するか、私はよく知らないけれど、いつもより眠気を感じながら過ごした。
家でいつものようにアイスホッケーを観た。ダラス・スターズとバンクーバー・カナックスの一戦だ。相手チームの方が強いので、私は正直カナックスが勝つと思っていなかった。案の定、カナックスは1-4で負けた。
今日に限らず、カナックスの試合を観ているともどかしい気持ちになる。攻撃が機能していないからだ。パスをつなぐことがしっかりできず、そのせいでチャンスをつくるのが難しくなっていると、個人的に思う。
ただし、今日唯一の得点には希望を感じた。私が観たカナックスの試合の中で、一番美しいゴールだった。Conor Garland選手とDerek Forbort選手によるパスの交換が大きなスペースを生み、Forbort選手はフリーの状態でシュートを放つことができた。このような攻撃をカナックスにはもっと見せてほしい。
On Sunday, March 9th, 2025, I went to bed in the morning and got up around 3:00 p.m. PDT. Daylight saving time started from today. I’m not sure this time change affects human body, I was somehow sleepy.
At home, I watched the ice hockey game between the Dallas Stars and the Vancouver Canucks on TV. I didn’t expect the Canucks to win, since the opposing team is more competitive. As I had assumed, the Canucks lost 1-4.
Watching Canucks games, not only today but on other days as well, is frustrating because their offense doesn’t work effectively. As far as I can tell, they struggle to drive the puck toward the net with passes, making it difficult for them to create scoring chances.
However, their only goal today was the most beautiful one I have ever seen in their games. The precise passing coordination between Conor Garland and Derek Forbort created a wide-open opportunity, and Forbort took a shot without any pressure from the opposing team. I hope the Canucks give me more chances to witness plays like that.
