今日もテレビでアイスホッケーを観た。コロラド・アバランチとカルガリー・フレームスの一戦だ。試合はアバランチが4-2で勝利した。
フレームスは何度か決定機を作り出していたものの、得点につなげることがなかなかできなかった。その点、アバランチの決定力は見事だった。パーカー・ケリー選手は2回のシュートチャンスをしっかり活かし、どちらも得点に結びつけた。
このフレームスの敗戦は、バンクーバー・カナックスからするとありがたい結果だ。両チームはウェスタン・カンファレンスでの順位が近く、プレーオフ進出をかけて争っている。

The ice hockey game I watched on TV today was between the Colorado Avalanche and the Calgary Flames. The match ended in a 4-2 win for the Avalanche.
Although the Flames created several scoring opportunities, they couldn’t fully capitalize on them. On the other hand, Parker Kelly of the Avalanche generated two scoring chances and successfully converted both.
The Flames’ loss must be good news for the Vancouver Canucks, as they are close in the Western Conference standings and competing for a playoff spot.
