2025年4月14日（月）、午前7時半に起きた。朝、家を出て東京へ向かった。
カナダ人の友人と浜松町駅の近くで合流した。その友達は日本を10日間ほど旅行しており、今日の夕方に成田空港からバンクーバーへ帰国する。2つのスーツケースに加え、弓などの荷物を持っており、空港までの運搬を手伝ってほしいと私に依頼してきた。
2人で空港直通の電車に乗った。車内は混んでおらず、難なく荷物を置くことができた。
空港に到着。荷物を航空会社に預けた後、私たちはターミナル内のレストランに入った。友人は鰻重をごちそうしてくれて、いくつかプレゼントもくれた。自分もお土産を一応渡したものの、コンビニで買った、私のお気に入りのパン2つだけだ。鰻重と比べると若干不釣り合いだった。
On Monday, April 14th, 2025, I got up at 7:30 and left home in the morning to head to Tokyo.
I met up with a friend from Canada who had been traveling in Japan for about ten days. She was flying back to Vancouver from Narita Airport in the evening and had asked me to help with her luggage, as she had two suitcases, a set of bows, and more.
We took a train that goes directly to the airport. It wasn’t crowded, so we were able to find space for all her belongings.
After arriving at the airport and checking in her luggage, we went to a restaurant inside the terminal. She treated me to a bowl of eel rice and gave me some gifts, while I gave her two of my favorite breads that I had bought at FamilyMart.
