2025年4月13日（日）、午前11時半ごろに起きた。一日中家にいた。
このブログで書いたように、今月は色々な場所で弓をひいた。そのほとんどが私にとって、初めて練習する場所だった。新しい場所を開拓するのは、毎回緊張する。
こちらが緊張している分、フレンドリーな弓道場に対してはありがたいと感じた。弓道場で話しかけてくれた人全員に、感謝している。
もう1つ感じたことがある。10年以上前、私が高校生として練習していた頃と比べて、ルールが複雑になったり厳しくなったりしたということだ。弓道場を初めて利用する人に対して、使用を認めるかどうかを判断する基準が各道場にあり、それが以前とは違うものになった。さらに言えば、練習中に利用者が守るべきルールも複雑になった印象だ。
On Sunday, April 13th, 2025, I got up around 11:30 a.m. and stayed home all day.
As I mentioned in previous posts on this blog, I tried Japanese archery at several places. Most of them were places where I practiced for the first time. Every time I visited a new location, I felt nervous because I wasn’t familiar with the local people or the local rules.
The more nervous I felt, the more grateful I was for the places that were welcoming to newcomers. I’m truly thankful to everyone who made the effort to speak with me when I recently joined a practice as a newcomer.
Another thing I noticed while visiting and researching places for Japanese archery in Tokyo and Kanagawa is that the regulations defining who can be admitted as a first-time user of the facilities have become stricter compared to more than ten years ago, when I practiced the martial art as a high school student. I believe the rules for using these facilities—intended to ensure safety and comfort—have also become more complex. This trend might reflect broader societal changes in Japan.
