2025年5月13日（火）、午前10時に起きた。夕方、横浜の公園へ出かけた。
公園の名前は「立町みはらし公園」。その名からして、眺めがよい場所なのだろうと私は期待していた。
期待通り、眺望は悪くなかった。みなとみないのビル群を眺めることができた。園内で遊んでいる人はほとんどいなかった。犬の散歩中だった女性が足を止め、園内の展望スペースでくつろいでいた。
公園の一角では、ハコネウツギが花を咲かせていた。花の色は様々。ハコネウツギの花は、白から淡紅、そして濃い紅色へと色を変える。
On Tuesday, May 13th, 2025, I got up at 10:00 a.m. and left home in the evening to visit a park in Yokohama.
The park is called Tatemachi Miharashi Park. Miharashi means “view” in Japanese, so I expected the park to offer a great view.
As I had hoped, I could see the cityscape of the Minatomirai district—the most iconic area in Yokohama—from the park’s viewpoint. When I visited today, the park was uncrowded. A woman walking her dogs had paused to rest at the viewpoint.
In the park, the Hakoneutsugi had flowers in various colors. The flowers of this species are known to change color over time—from white to light crimson, and eventually to deep crimson.
