2025年6月6日（金）、正午に起きた。午後に家を出て、横浜市内の神奈川県立図書館へ向かった。
図書館へ行く前、横浜公園で植物を眺めた。園内に横浜スタジアムが立ち、私はスタジアムの外周部分を歩いたことになる。
横浜公園の入口付近では、サンゴジュが満開になっている。園内にある日本庭園のあたりでは、ナンテンの開花が始まっており、こちらの花もサンゴジュ同様に白い。季節が進むにつれて、どちらの木も赤い実をつけるはずだ。
今夜はここ浜スタで、プロ野球の試合があった。私が訪れた日中、ユニフォームを着た観客が続々と横浜公園に集まっており、クスノキの下のベンチなどで試合開始を待っていた。肝心の試合は、バウアー選手の完投でベイスターズが勝利を収めた。
On Friday, June 6th, 2025, I got up at noon and left home in the afternoon to go to the Kanagawa Prefectural Library in Yokohama.
Before heading to the library, I took a walk in Yokohama Park to look for plants. The park includes Yokohama Stadium, the home of a professional baseball team.
Near the entrance of the park, a sweet viburnum with glossy leaves was in full bloom. Around the Japanese-style garden in the park, a nandina also had white flowers. Both of these trees, which have white blossoms, will eventually bear red fruit as time goes by.
As I walked through the area, many fans wearing the team’s uniforms were arriving to watch that night’s game against the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Some of them were sitting on a bench under a camphor tree.
