On Saturday, June 21st, 2025, I got up around 11:00 a.m. and met up with my friend in Akihabara in the afternoon to chat.
After having a fun conversation with him, I walked from Tokyo Station to Shinbashi Station, passing through the Ginza district, the most upscale shopping area in Japan. While walking, I paid attention to the kinds of street trees planted along the way.
On the main street in Ginza, katsura trees are planted. I found them elegant, and they match the high-end image of the neighborhood.
On another street in Ginza, Hanatsubaki-dori Street, Japanese camellias are planted. They should produce stunning flowers in winter, which I imagine add to the splendor of the nearby Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building with its striking red exterior.
