現地時間2025年7月19日（土）、午前11時ごろに起きた。午後は弓道の練習に参加した。
昨日のブログ記事で書いたように、引っ越し先を探している。昨日、ある家の内見をして、その日のうちに入居を申し込んだ。
その家の大家から今日連絡があった。入居お断りの連絡で、大家は別の人を入居者として迎え入れるそうだ。2つの空き部屋に対して、私以外に3件の内見があったらしい。
今回の経験を通して、家探しの難しさを痛感した。そんなわけで、以前にも増して真剣に、賃貸物件の情報サイトを眺めている。
On Saturday, July 19th, 2025, I got up around 11:00 a.m. PDT and went out in the afternoon for Japanese archery practice, as I do every Saturday.
As I mentioned in a previous post on this blog, I viewed a house yesterday that I had planned to move into and submitted a tenant application to the landlord on the same day.
The landlord responded to me today, saying that they had decided to let other people live in the house. In other words, my application was rejected. I don’t know why they turned me down. They told me that there were three other viewings, while they are going to provide only two empty rooms.
Through this experience, I realized that finding a new place to live is more difficult than I had expected. I’ve started searching for housing in Vancouver more seriously than before, browsing websites with available listings while riding the train.
