現地時間2025年7月30日（水）、午前11時半に起きた。夕方、外出した。久しぶりにノースバンクーバーを訪れた。
ウォーターフロント駅からノースバンクーバーまで、「シーバス」という船で移動した。バンクーバーで船に乗るのはこれが初めて。ノースバンクーバーを散策することよりもむしろ、シーバスに乗るのが今日の主目的だった。
シーバスは海上を滑らかに進み、10分ほどで目的地に到着した。船酔いの心配は全くない。
ノースバンクーバー側の船乗り場周辺には飲食店やバスターミナル、公園などがある。私が訪れた時間帯は、とても賑わっていた。船が頻繁に行き来し、多くの人が利用しているのも納得できる。
On Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, I got up at 11:30 a.m. PDT and visited North Vancouver for the first time in a while.
I took a ferry, called SeaBus, from Waterfront Station in downtown Vancouver to the shore in North Vancouver. It was my first experience riding on any ships in Vancouver. What I really wanted was to experience the SeaBus — walking around North Vancouver was just a bonus.
The ferry glided smoothly across the bay and took about ten minutes to reach the other side. It’s comfortable inside, so there’s no need to worry about getting seasick.
The area around the ferry terminal in North Vancouver was livelier than I expected. There are restaurants, a bus terminal, and some parks. It makes sense that the ferry runs frequently between the two shores and that many people use it.
