On Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, I got up around 1:00 p.m. PDT and visited a hall at a Japanese language school in Vancouver in the evening, where I usually practice Japanese archery.
Today and tomorrow, the language school is being used as one of the venues for the Powell Street Festival, an annual event where visitors can enjoy Japanese culture. Various performances are being held as part of the festival, and our Japanese archery club is also giving demonstrations for visitors.
I participated in the demonstration as a performer, marking my second time doing so at this festival, following last year. Just like last year, a large audience—likely more than 50 people—gathered in the hall to watch us.
Although I had been struggling with my shooting in recent practices, I managed to perform well today in front of the crowd. Since an acquaintance of mine was among the audience, I was especially happy that she got to see me shoot. After feeling relieved, I grabbed some gyoza from one of the food stalls at the festival.
