現地時間2025年8月19日（火）、午前10時半ごろに起きた。夕方、弓道の練習をした。
練習に向かう際、チャイナタウンで電車を降りた。ダウンタウンの一角にあるこの街で、2人の異常者に遭遇した。
1人目は、私と同じ駅で降りた男性。私が改札を通り抜ける瞬間、彼は後ろからついてきて、乗車券をタップせずに改札を出た。バンクーバーでは残念ながら、このような不正乗車が日常茶飯事だ。日本と違い、バンクーバーの駅の改札には職員がいないので、乗客は簡単に不正ができてしまう。
2人目の異常者は、10歳くらいの少年だ。街のショッピングモールのトイレに私がいた際、その少年が入ってきて、隣で小便をし始めた。普通の人は便器に近づいて用を足すが、その子は便器から30センチほど離れていた。小便が終盤に入ると、彼の尿は便器まで届かなくなる。最悪なことに、床に跳ね返った尿が私の靴にかかった。
On Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, I got up around 10:30 a.m. PDT and practiced Japanese archery in the evening.
To get to the place where I practiced, I got off the train at a station in Chinatown, Vancouver. I came across two weirdos in the neighborhood.
The first one was a man who got off at the same station. When I tapped my fare card at the ticket gate, he followed me and passed through the gate without tapping his own card. Unfortunately, fare dodging like this is common. Unlike in Japan, there are usually no transit employees standing near the gates in Vancouver stations, so it is easy to avoid paying.
The second person was a boy, around 10 years old. When I was in a bathroom at a mall in the area, he came in and started peeing next to me. While most men stand close to the toilet when they pee, he kept a distance of about 30 cm from it. Toward the end, his urine no longer reached the toilet and splashed onto the floor. Because of his careless behavior, some of it splashed onto my shoe.
