On Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, I got up at 10:30 a.m. PDT and went out in the afternoon to update my SIN at a government office and to visit a library.
Afterward, I headed to Kitsilano Beach and walked from there to downtown Vancouver via the Granville Bridge. It was my first time at the beach, and I found it popular since it was crowded. Many people were playing beach volleyball, and someone was working while sitting on a hammock in a wooded area near the beach.
As I entered Kitsilano Beach Park, a huge Chinese Wingnut tree greeted me and offered shade where people were relaxing. Its winged nutlets hung in clusters like chains, dangling in great numbers.
Not only the beach but also the other places I walked through today were interesting to see. The distinctive building of the Vancouver Maritime Museum, which I’d like to visit someday, stands near the bay. I also spotted a female finch, likely a house finch.
