現地時間2025年9月14日（日）、午前12時半に起きた。一日中、家にいた。
近頃寒さを感じるようになった。秋の訪れを実感する。ついに今日、ユニクロのヒートテックのタイツを履き始めた。
私の生活を助けてくれるのは、ユニクロだけではない。ダイソーで買った容器が、新生活で役立っている。パスタもしくは野菜といった食材を容器に入れ、電子レンジで加熱すれば、コンロを使わずに料理ができる。
料理の手間を省けるのがありがたい。もう1つの利点は、この容器が調理器具と食器を兼ねていることだ。洗い物が減る。以前の家ではホストマザーが私の代わりに洗ってくれていたが、今の家では自分でやらなければならず、洗い物を減らすことが重要になった。
On Sunday, September 14th, 2025, I got up at 12:30 p.m. PDT and stayed home all day.
As the days have been growing shorter, I’ve begun to feel the chill. Finally today, I started wearing Heattech tights, which are my favorite clothing item from Uniqlo.
Other products from another Japanese company, Daiso, also make my life easier in this new place. I bought two food containers: one for pasta and the other for vegetables, fish, and so on. By putting ingredients into either container, I can heat them up in the microwave, so I don’t need to use an oven when cooking.
They have several advantages. One is that they make cooking easier. Another is that these containers serve both as kitchenware and as dishes, which means I have fewer items to wash after eating in this new house—whereas in my previous house, my host mother used to wash the dishes and kitchenware for me.
