On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, I got up at 3:30 a.m. PDT and went out in the morning. I walked along the waterfront path from the Vancouver Convention Centre to Stanley Park.
What I paid attention to was the foliage. This activity has a similar concept in Japanese called Momiji-gari, which means “leaf-peeping” in English.
The trees with yellow leaves that I found were tulip trees. Some of their large leaves had started to change color, but many were still green. It will probably take a bit more time for them to become even more beautiful.
Several trees, such as maples and sweetgums, had already started turning red. I also saw some oak trees with partially red leaves.
