On Tuesday, October 15th, 2025, I got up around 9:00 a.m. PDT and took a walk along False Creek, including the area around Granville Island.
It seems that I’ve been coming across birds more often recently than before.
Fortunately, I managed to take some pictures of a hummingbird perched on a tree or flying in the sky today. The pictures are quite small, but still better than having none. Although hummingbirds aren’t particularly rare in Vancouver, it’s not easy to capture them because of their tiny bodies and quick movements.
I also saw another kind of bird that I had never seen before. It was small, with striped patterns on its body and a yellowish color around its eyes. The species might have been a Savannah Sparrow.
