現地時間2025年10月24日（金）、午前10時半ごろに起きた。午後は買い物をした。
夜、ワールドシリーズを家で観た。ワールドシリーズは、メジャーリーグの王者を決める戦い。最大7試合あるシリーズで、今日は初戦だった。
対戦するのはロサンゼルス・ドジャースとトロント・ブルージェイズ。日本人として私は、3人の日本人選手が所属しているドジャースに優勝してほしいと願っている。一方でカナダに住んでいる立場からすると、カナダ唯一の球団であるブルージェイズに勝ってほしいとも思う。
第1戦の舞台はトロント。ホームのブルージェイズが11対4で勝利した。意外な結果だった。私の予想としては、ドジャースのほうが圧倒的に強く、ドジャースの全勝もあり得ると思っていた。
On Friday, October 24th, 2025, I got up around 10:30 a.m. PDT and went shopping around several commercial districts in the afternoon.
In the evening, I watched Game 1 of the World Series, the championship series of Major League Baseball. Like when I watched the previous series this month—the League Championships Series—I took advantage of a sports network’s streaming service I recently subscribed to.
This year’s matchup in the annual event is between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays. As a person from Japan, I want the Dodgers to win the title since they have three Japanese players, including Shohei Ohtani. However, as someone currently living in Canada, I also hope the Jays will defeat the defending champions from Los Angeles.
Their first game, held at a stadium in Toronto, ended in an 11–4 win for the home team. Since I had predicted that the Dodgers would be far more competitive than the Jays and might even sweep them, the Jays taking a 1–0 lead in the series really surprised me.
