現地時間2025年10月26日（日）、午前12時半に起きた。夕方、散歩に出かけた。
訪れたのは、バンクーバーにある小さな公園「Shaughnessy Park」。私のお気に入りの場所だ。
スズランノキがどうなっているのか興味があった。気温が下がってきているので、葉が赤くなっているだろうと期待していた。今日見たところ、葉っぱは部分的に色づいていたが、見ごろを迎えるまではまだかかりそうだ。
園内に立つ木々のなかで、イロハモミジが一番きれいだった。ほかの種類の楓も美しいが、イロハモミジの華やかさは別格だ。
On Sunday, October 26th, 2025, I got up around 12:30 p.m. PDT and went for a walk in the evening.
The place I visited today was Shaughnessy Park, which is a small park in Vancouver and one of my favorite places in the city.
The biggest reason that I went to there was to look color of sourwoods. I expected their leaves to become red as it has been colder. In fact, their color partly have changed as of now, but it is still days to wait to appreciate their foliage in peak condition.
Among various trees in the park, a Japanese maple had the most stunning foliage today. While other types of maples are also beautiful in the fall, the gorgeousness of the Japanese maple is on another level.
