現地時間2025年10月27日（月）、13時半に起きた。夜、弓道の練習をした。
午後、メトロタウン駅前のショッピングモールで買い物をした。いつも買う食料品だけでなく、皿と鍋も買う必要があった。
皿と鍋が必要だった理由は、これまで使っていたものを使えなくなるからだ。家にある食器や調理器具について、私はこれまで、同居人全員で共有していると思っていたが、同居人の1人から「違う」と指摘を受けた。彼は、彼専用のものを持っており、それを他の人に使ってほしくないそうだ。
私だけの食器・鍋を買うのは、無駄な出費のように思える。その一方で利点もある。ほかの人が洗うのを待たなくて済む。同居人たちは、食後に皿を長時間放置することが多く、家全体の食器不足の原因になっていた。
On Monday, October 27th, 2025, I got up around 1:30 p.m. PDT and practiced Japanese archery in the evening.
In the afternoon, I went shopping at a huge mall in front of Metrotown Station. I needed to buy not only groceries but also a dish and a pot today.
The reason I had to get them was that I won’t be able to use some of the dishes and pots in my house anymore. While I had thought that all the tableware and cookware were shared among all the housemates, including me, one of them told me that some of those items were his and asked me not to use them.
Although it seems like a negative change for me to have to buy new items, there is an advantage on the other hand. Having my own pot and dish frees me from waiting for other housemates to wash the shared ones. They tend to leave dirty dishes for a long time after eating, which has sometimes caused a shortage of clean tableware.
