夕方は散歩の時間。オリンピックビレッジ駅からグランビル・アイランドまで海沿いの遊歩道を歩き、その後グランビル橋を渡った。
グランビル橋のたもと近くに、ユリノキが立ち並んでいる。橋を歩く人たちは、ユリノキの黄葉を間近で眺めることができる。
バンクーバー都市圏でユリノキを見つけることは、たいして難しくない。私が数日前に訪れた、リッチモンドのMinoru Parkにも、背の高いユリノキが立っている。黄色く染まった葉っぱが、秋らしい景色を作り出していた。
On Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, I got up around 1:00 p.m. PST. Daylight saving time ended today, so my sense of time was slightly confused.
In the evening, I strolled along a seaside path from Olympic Village Station to Granville Island, crossing the Granville Bridge.
Among several types of trees with yellow leaves I saw today, I found tulip trees the most beautiful. They stood near the edge of the bridge, and pedestrians on the sidewalk could see their uniquely shaped leaves.
It is not difficult to find this species in Metro Vancouver. At Minoru Park in Richmond, which I visited a few days ago, tall tulip trees have been planted in one area, creating a distinctly autumnal scene.
